FAQ

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE SESSION?

  • I mainly specialize in two types of sessions: Pets n People. I also offer a few more types as well: Boudoir, Seniors, and Food. Please check out the My Services page for more information on each session type.

WHERE DOES A SESSION TAKE PLACE?

  • For the Pets session, the photoshoot takes place wherever you think your pet will be the most comfortable and content–whether it’s my studio, a park, beach, grassy meadows, or at home.

  • For End of Life session, the photoshoot takes place wherever you think your pet will be the most comfortable; preferably at the pets home.

  • For People session, the photoshoot takes place either at my home studio, business or a location of both parties choosing.

  • For the Boudoir sessions, the photoshoot takes place at my studio.

  • For the Food session, the photoshoot takes place at the customers restaurant food truck and/or business location.

HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST?

  • All main sessions typically lasts around one hour, although it can be longer or shorter. Sometimes I get all the images I need within an half hour, other times it can take a little bit longer. Regardless, I keep shooting until I know I have some awesome images!

  • The "Mini" sessions is a roughly 30-minute shoot with around half the amount of images of the main shoot.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

  • Bring any prop (within reason) you want for yourself or your pet! This can include objects, hats, or squeaky toys!

WHAT IF I HAVE MORE THAN ONE PET THAT I WANT PHOTOGRAPHED?

  • No Probs! I do up to 2 pets per session. $50 additional for every pet. This includes additional shooting time and extra professionally edited images.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER SUCKS?

  • If it’s rainy, and you’re feeling adventurous, we can put on our rain gear to try and capture the unexpected! Otherwise, when we schedule your session, we’ll plan a backup date and/or an alternative indoor location.

DO YOU ONLY PHOTOGRAPH DOGS AND CATS?

  • I've taken photographs of animals ranging from dogs and cats to horses and guinea pigs. I love all animals and am more than happy to take photos of any other types of pets you may have. Shoot me an email and let me know what you have in mind.

MY PET IS REALLY SHY OR HYPER. I DON’T THINK IT WILL BE POSSIBLE TO GET GOOD SHOTS.

  • Typically with shy pets, I will spend some quiet time with them one on one at the beginning of the session so they can get used to me and become comfortable with my presence. Most warm up pretty quickly, and I find that a lot of treats and toys help! With hyper pets, I recommend taking them for a brisk walk or playing with them right before the session to help expel some of that extra energy. By the time the session rolls around, they should be good to go. If your pet has any aggressive tendencies towards humans, I do not not recommend having a photo session.

DO I HAVE TO BE IN THE PET PHOTOS?

  • No, you don’t have to be, but I definitely recommend it! I have had clients that were reluctant to have their photos taken with their pets, but they couldn’t be more thrilled once they saw the finished images. In fact, these often turned out to be some of their most favorite images!

CAN I BRING SOMEONE TO MY BOUDOIR SESSION?

  • Yes! I encourage you to bring whoever you'd want to help make you as comfortable as possible!
